Important Changes To P&O Drinks Packages 2023

P&O Cruises have recently announced the launch of four new drinks packages on their cruise holidays of five nights or more. The new drinks packages have been available on board Iona and Ventura since May 20, 2023 and will be launched across the rest of the fleet by the end of July 2023.

P&0’s new drinks packages range from £10.95 per person per day right up to £54.95 per person per day. These prices will include a 10% discount if you purchase before boarding. We are definitely seeing some price increases compared to the old packages but in my personal opinion I am really happy with the new offerings.

What are the new drinks packages for 2023?

REFRESH DRINKS PACKAGE:
Cost £10.95 per person per day (10% discount if booked before boarding)

This replaces the children’s drink package which was previously available and the one we are most happy about. This drinks package includes classic fizzy drinks like R.Whites Lemonade and Pepsi to your choice of orange, pineapple and apple juice. They have now removed Hot chocolate which was previously available on the kids package. For passengers travelling with children aged 16 years and under who choose either a Classic or Deluxe drinks package, the Refresh drinks package will be provided at no extra cost. 

ALCOHOL-FREE DRINKS PACKAGE
Cost £24.95 per person per day (10% discount if booked before boarding)

This drinks package includes everything from the above Refresh drinks package but also mocktails, costa coffee, teapigs and smoothies. This package is great for any heavy coffee drinkers who aren’t happy with the free offerings onboard.

CLASSIC DRINKS PACKAGE
Cost £44.95 per person per day (10% discount if booked before boarding)

This drinks package includes everything from the above Refresh and Alcohol-free drinks packages. But also some spirits, beers, ciders, wines and classic cocktails, including P&O Cruises’ own-brand Marabelle Gin and Golden Tide Rum with a mixer of choice. Heineken, Birra Moretti or John Smith’s for the beer lovers. 
If all adults in the cabin purchase this package any children aged 16 years and under will automatically receive the Refresh drinks package at no extra cost. 

DELUXE DRINKS PACKAGE
Cost £54.95 per person per day (10% discount if booked before boarding)

This drink package includes everything from the other packages but also all of the other drinks onboard such as premium spirits, champagnes etc. 
If all adults in the cabin purchase this package any children aged 16 years and under will automatically receive the Refresh drinks package at no extra cost. 

Who is eligible to purchase a drinks package?

Packages are available to purchase before your holiday via My P&O Cruises by clicking ‘Drinks’, ‘Discover more’, ‘Add to basket’.

Drinks packages are available on cruises of 5 nights or more and must be purchased for every day of your cruise. 

You can buy packages on board at the areas advertised until midnight on night two of your cruise and you can use your package in all the restaurants, bars and cafés on board.

Each adult assigned to the same cabin must purchase the same drinks package. Sharing is not permitted.

Children can have the Refresh drinks package independently of their parents and can be purchased on board. There is no requirement for adults in the same cabin to also purchase a package.

When a Classic or Deluxe drinks package is purchased, a complimentary Refresh drinks package will be offered for all the children travelling in the same cabin only (aged 17 and under).

Any loyalty discount will be applied when you purchase a drinks package, whether you do so before your holiday on My P&O Cruises or when you step on board.

The reservation will only show in the ‘My Orders’ section whoever has made the order, even if you’ve made a reservation for multiple people on the booking.
